Patricia's Story:
Patti has remained positive from the time she was diagnosed. She has spent a lot of time talking to others about her battle with breast cancer. She has spoken both in front of a church congregation and one-on-one with other women (some diagnosed, some not). Patti has even spoken in front of the Komen Grantees. Her surgeon's office calls her to speak with newly diagnosed patients to present them with a survivor’s viewpoint of the breast cancer journey. During her own chemo treatments, she spent countless hours putting together bookmarks for the NC Triangle Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to distribute. Her advice to for others, "When you are in the tunnel (treatment) and you see a light at the end of it, it isn't a freight train"!
